It seems that the more someone initially presents themselves as well put-together, the more weird they reveal themselves to be over time. This realization has left me somewhat cynical about those who project perfection. In my mind, the extra effort to maintain a flawless facade often indicates an attempt to compensate for something.
It’s easy to feel inadequate when everyone else around you is projecting themselves as impeccable. But I think it’s important to remind ourselves that true beauty lies in our imperfections, in the quirks and oddities that make us who we are.
